1. Our Services

Alder & Vale provides artisanal bookbinding, repair, and restoration services, as well as the sale of ready-made journals. By engaging our services or purchasing our products, you agree to these terms.

2. Bespoke Commissions & Restoration

All bespoke commissions and restoration projects are subject to an initial consultation. We will provide a quote based on the scope of work. Quotes are valid for 30 days. As these items are custom-made or restored, they are non-refundable once work has commenced.

3. Prices and Payment

Prices for ready-made journals are as listed on our website. For bespoke services, payment terms will be outlined in your individual quote. We do not accept deposits through the website; payment links for bespoke work will be sent securely via email once a quote is accepted.

4. Delivery and Fulfilment

Ready-made journals are dispatched within 5 business days of order confirmation. For bespoke commissions, estimated completion times will be provided during the consultation process. We are not responsible for delays caused by third-party shipping providers.

5. Cancellations and Refunds

Ready-made journals may be returned within 14 days of receipt if in original, unused condition. Bespoke commissions cannot be cancelled once materials have been sourced or work has begun. If you have an issue with a restoration project, please contact us immediately so we can address your concerns.

6. Liability

We handle all items with the utmost care. However, due to the age and condition of some items submitted for restoration, Alder & Vale cannot be held liable for pre-existing damage or inherent fragility of materials. Our liability is limited to the value of the services provided.

You agree to use our website and services for lawful purposes only. You may not use our content or branding without express written permission.
